5 Easy Ways to Make Money Online

Friday, October 26th, 2007

Here are five ways you can make money online :

1) Join an affiliate program, promote their products/services, and make commissions when make a sale through your affiliate link. This is a very popular way of making money online. Many affiliate programs are free to join. Some ways you can promote your affiliate link are through article marketing, setting up a landing page or e-mail marketing.

2) Start a blog on a particular subject. Pick a subject that your visitors would find interesting, and give them useful information on a regular basis. Keep your blog focused on your topic, and update with new information and articles on a regular schedule. On your blog, you can promote and review affiliate products and/or make money with a program such as Google Adsense. You can start a blog for free with a service such as Blogspot.

3) You can make money purely on Google Adsense, or another related program. Set up a site providing useful information about a certain subject, then drive traffic to your site. Place Adsense ads on each page of your site. Be sure to follow their terms of service. When people click on those ads you make money, so a lot of traffic is key.

4) Another way you can make money with your computer is through internet auctions, such as eBay. Millions of people search eBay daily looking for any kind of product you can imagine, and there are millions of transactions through eBay daily. There are people who make fortunes just from selling on eBay. A way to make money is to buy items at wholesale price and sell them at a higher price on eBay. However there is much, much more to learn in order to make money from online auctions.

5) Creating your own informational product and selling it through the internet is yet another way to make money online. Information has got to be the most common form of product sold on the internet. Research what kind of information is in high demand in the market, and write an eBook report on it. Perhaps you know information on something that a lot of people do not, and people are willing to pay for that kind of information. A similar method is to obtain the master resell rights for a product, and sell the product for yourself.

5 Link Baiting Methods

Thursday, October 25th, 2007

Link-baiting can encompass a wide range of blogging techniques including: contests, lists, research, usefulness, quizzes, tools, ask for a review; the list is endless. Here are a few link-baiting techniques I have used on many of my blogs with good results:

1. Lists - Articles with lists get a lot of love from Diggers and Delicious. Social bookmark site such as these love valuable lists. Lists have been done to death, so if you ARE going to use this technique, make sure you are adding some substance and knowledge for your readers. Lists get a lot of backlinks because they are actually tough to create. A well done list can take hours of research and many more to compose and format.

2. Podcasting - Podcasts are great baiting tools. Podcasts that give tips, tutorials, or news about something related to your niche or industry is a great way to get blogs to link to you. Blog a Podcast interview of a famous name in your industry. This is a really good way to get links and build your credibility.

3. Write about them - One of the best ways to get a link from a blog is to write about them. Say something nice about their blog or writing style. Try ellaborating on one of their blog posts and link to them a few times during the article. Then email the owner of the blog the permalink to let them know about the post. This technique has worked for me dozens of times. Make sure the post or review is thorough and not a lazy effort. Pro bloggers know this trick and wont link to you if your article is lame (less than 300 words, no photos, 0-1 links, bad grammar) even if you praise them throughout the review.

4. Humor & Wit - Be funny; let your personality come out. One of the best ways to create linkbait is to be funny. People love humor, especially in these war times. Blog about a funny cartoon, take a funny picture, write a funny title, be sarcastic.

5. Research - Most of my blog post are between 300-500 words and take me anywhere between 30 minutes to 2 hours to research, write, proofread, etc. If I want to create a really special 1000 word, linkbait article, I will sometimes spend 2 hours on research alone, not including writing, editing, etc. I have found if you spend extra time on an article and pack it with useful information, people are likely to use it for their own research will link to it.

Practical Steps To Take For Relationship Marketers

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

1. Make Sure You Have A Vehicle For Information Dissemination.

Get a Blog (I love the free service from Google called Blogger (www.blogger.com) and create a series of on-going communication forums with your audience, your community. Provide lots of value with information. If you’re a chiropractor, talk about areas where patients can make their lives healthier with certain foods, exercises, and more. If you’re an accountant, discuss practical tax-saving ideas and how to manage for your small business. Whatever you offer, talk about it in terms of benefits for your community. Don’t forget the benefits of Podcasting to talk your way to success. Study the market first to see what is offered now but open up that possibility for your community.

2. Check Out Web 2.0’s Biggest Stars.

Get involved in communities like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, YouTube, VideoJug and more. Find the places where your customers tend to gravitate. Be there in a pleasant, value-added way. Don’t push your stuff or try to sell. This is not the place for that. Instead, provide value and let people know about you. This soft-sell works much better in today’s Web 2.0 world. Also check out the hybrid of Meet-Up groups. Meet-up groups connect online but meet with real people who share a mutual interest with you in your geographical community. This is a way to develop not only business relationships but mutually beneficial personal relationships.

3. Provide Ways For Buyers To Connect With You Directly.

Many in the Internet Marketing world only want to sell a box of CDs, DVDs or pamphlets. Think about how much of that stuff (often selling for $2,000+) you really use. Does it sit on a shelf and collect dust? Find a place where you can get real assistance from a human being. Remember that you won’t get a lot of personal attention at real low prices. However, if you want to learn swimming really well, get a good swim coach. If you want to learn to play the piano, look into a good piano coach. This is a time-honored way to learn (think apprenticeships from the Middle Ages) and it still works today. Supplement it with good quality, relevant material that you can get online. It’s not either or; it’s both and.

Relationship Marketing is about connecting with people on a personal basis, not just through selling masses of stuff. Provide ways that people can implement change in their lives and you will prosper. As Web 2.0 evolves and changes (every week is bringing new changes) the time-honored principles of helping others, genuine caring and providing value work more than ever today.

How to Market Your Blogs Online to Your Success

Wednesday, October 10th, 2007

Generally, blogs are also known as web logs. Those blogs are the fastest growing technology on the internet. With there being so many blogs on the internet right now, how do you make your blogs known and get people to read it.

- The first thing that you should know is that you should have your blog URL pointing to your niche market. The free blog platform is rarely in my home based internet marketing business. Personally, I believe that the reliability will realize on your blog platform as well. Many people use the free blog platforms for their home based internet marketing business, which I don’t recommend you to use them.

- The next step you should do in your blog online marketing is to customize your own blog. Rather than having the same old blog interface like everyone else has, make your unique and interesting to look at. There are so many types of blog software on the market that having your own look should not be that difficult to accomplish.

- Obviously it appears that the keyword research is another very important element of your blog online marketing. If you are not using the keywords on which people search, then no one is going to find your blogs. I recommend you to have variety of niche keywords in your blog. It should not just the same one over and over. Not everyone just uses the term ‘sunglasses’ when they are searching for shades to keep the sun out of their eyes. Remember, the effective keyword research is an important factor to drive more traffic to your blogs.

- In general, using SEO on your blog, which stands for search engine optimization, is a great idea as well. SEO will help get your blog out there and read, and will also help you get a better ranking with Google. Being as high as you can be in the Google search engine results is something that you want.

- Exchanging the link among other blogs is a great approach to grow your blog’s popularity. Find other sites and blogs that are in the same market as yours, but not in direct competition with you to exchange links with. This will help you out a lot as well, especially if you can get some good exchanges with high authority sites. The higher the page rank of your link exchange, the better for your blog.

- Many internet entrepreneurs do not realize this, but having a different title tag in the HTML code on each page makes a big difference. If you have given the first page on your blog the title of ‘sunglasses’, you need to be sure that none of your other pages are named this. Doing so will make Google think that you are spamming that keyword, and that will result in them punishing your blog URL.

- When you have done your own keyword research, you will want to write content based on the research you have done. Using one or two keywords, make entries into your blog using the keywords will make it easy for your blog to be indexed under those terms. That will also result in people searching on those particular terms able to find your blog.

- At last, pinging your blog frequently is another great way to have your blog seen. Every time that you update it, use the ping tools to ping it. This will let all of the blog directories know that you have added something new to your blog. This also brings you in some more traffic.
